Daniel R. Barton

DANIEL R. BARTON, 51, of Pullman passed away on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 at Pullman Regional Hospital. Dan was born July 3, 1961 in Pullman to Donald & Barbara (Lang) Barton. He grew up in Pullman, graduating from Pullman High School in 1980. Following graduation Dan moved to Spokane where he made his home for 20 years, operating his own construction business specializing in concrete and painting. He returned to Pullman in 2000 where he continued painting and working small construction jobs. Dan’s hobbies included refinishing furniture, fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed time in the Blue Mountains and loved spending time with family at the lake on their Century Resorter Boat. Dan helped his father refinish the boat many times. His friends & classmates were special to him, and Dan always took time to visit with them. Through the years Dan was an active member of the NRA. He is survived by his daughter Rainy Barton of Spokane; his parents Don & Barbie Barton of Pullman; his sister Denise Pruitt of Hayden Lake, ID; and his aunts, uncles, nephew, 2 nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and an infant brother. Dan’s family would like to offer a special thanks the nursing staff, caregivers & doctors at Pullman Regional Hospital and the staff at Precious Elder Care Home in Pullman for their tender and compassionate care of our father, son and brother. A celebration of life gathering for Dan will be held on Monday, Aug. 20, 2012 from 3 to 5 PM at the Fireside Grill, 1905 SE Bishop Blvd. Kimball Funeral Home is caring for Dan’s family. Memorial donations are suggested to the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation.
